It is recommended that the paid men of said Depa~rtment be uniformed at their own expense, and that an ordinance be brought in to cover same, which shall take effect on its passage. Gentlemen:-- Your Police Committee respectfully reports here- in concerning the following matter referred to the Joint Police Committee July 9, 19lB: Referred by Common Council July 9th. To refer to Ferry Committee to investigate the present ferry facilities, &c. To appoint a Committee~of Five to confer with the B. M. A. in regard to getting the gunboat Sac- rs~mento built at this Navy Yard. All of Enginee~ to take Street Committee the above were concurred in, except the section with regard to instructing the City charge of all street work in the Seventh Ward, which matter was referred to the for examination and a full report concerning same.
