Slater, <br /> City Clerk, CiSy. <br /> "Dear Sir:-- "YOu will please call a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen for Tuesday, Sep- <br />tember ~rd, at 8 P. M., to e~ect a President.and Vice-President of the body for two years from Septem- <br />ber i, l~lB. <br /> "Following this meeting there will be a Joint Session of the two branches to consider: <br /> ,First. A recommendation of the Joint Finance Committee for award of sale of $B75,000.00 of Ci~ty <br />of Portsmouth bonds. <br /> "Second. Recommended appropriations of the Finance Committee for delegates to Conventions at <br />Alexandria, Va., and Buffalo~ N,' 7., respectively. <br /> "Immediately following the Joint Session, the Board of Aldermen will meet in special session to <br /> consider such matters as may have been adopted in said Joint Session. <br /> "Very truly, <br /> "C. Walker, President.~ <br /> (With concurrence of President of Common Council). <br /> The "call" having been read, Mr. Markham moved to elect a temporary chairm~n of the body. <br /> The motion was ad~nted; and on motion, N~v. C. W.
