<br />~herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Finance Committee December 10-17,i9t~:

<br />· To determine .how funds are to be raised for pa.-anent of $10,000..00 for purchase of the "Phili~ps-
<br />'Mahoney~ tract as a park and playground.
<br /> It is recommended that said property be purchased either by notes or by short term bonds
<br /> at 5% interest, as may be best a~ranged by the Finance Committee.
<br />
<br /> Advisability of purchasing from the Emmerson estate on Court street a frontage of not less than
<br /> 50 f~et,.to give access to the Park and Playground from Court street.
<br /> It is recommended that said piece of land be not purchased at thi~ time, as the~e is no
<br /> urgent need for its use.
<br />
<br /> Advisability o£ purchasing as a playground for children o£ Park Viewnine t~ts on the east side
<br /> of ~w~ns-street, between Ann and A, for $4~500.00. Progress 'as to same.
