<br /> The City Collector appeared before ~he Committee and stated that, owing r%O the late re-as-
<br />sessment of real estate in the .City, he would not be-able to hav~ his hooks prepared for the
<br />receipt of City taxes by October 1st, and he requested that his time be extended for the recept-
<br />ion Of taxes until October llth; and also that he be allo~ed an assistant for such work, at a
<br />pay of $100.00 per month, for one month beginning SePtember llth.
<br /> It is recQmm~ended that the r~quest of the ~ity Col2ecter be granted.
