R.C.P. Octooer I0~ 1911. It is further recommended that the Treasurer be authorized to borrow $55,000.00, or as much of the same as may be necessary, in order to refund the Paving Bond Account~and~t?~t the following resolution be~ adopted therefor: Resolved~ That the: Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized to make notes in The Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchantst & Farmers' Bank, the Bank of Tidewater, and The First'National Ba~ of Portsmouth, to amount of Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00), in order to re-imburse the Paving Bond funds to that amount; said amount to be re- paid from revenues of the City for the current year. Advisability of grading ~hePm~mpton Place sidewalks to conform with the grade of Dinwiddie street. We recommend that the work be done, at a cost of $110.O0. To consider the cost of grading, curbing, guttering, and paving Third street, between Har- rison and Fayette. Ne re comme~d that an appropriation of $1S00.00 be allowed for this work. Referred by Board of Aldermen September 19th. Advisability of paving the south side~ of Leckie street, from Armstrong to Williams. We recommend'an appropriation of $37~.00 to do this work. Parks We further recommend an appropriation of $~5.00 to curb and gutter the Avenue, from Naval to the north end of Parke. We recommend further an. appropriation of.$1OO~OO.for stenographic work. east side of Further, that the Street Committee be authorized to sell to A. Ogg the old stone at the north end of Washington street, at $1.S5 per cubic yard, Mr. Ogg to remove the stone'from the street. Further, an appropriation of $1,000.00 to repair the sidewalks destroyed in the street paving work.
