A bill of $48~00 for rent of a hall in the Seventh Waz~t, for use of the An- <br />nex Fire Company. <br /> We report that this~bitl is being held up by the Committee, pending an interview con- <br />cerning it with the former Chief of the Fire Department. <br /> <br /> $1~0.00 for pay of an expert engineer to furmish plans and specifications for the proposed <br />Gosport and Swimming Point bridges. <br /> Believing that the City Engineer should be fully competent te attend to this work, it <br />is recommended that the appropriation be not allowed. <br /> <br />$720.00 for paving the south side of High street, between Effingham a~d Chestnut. Progress. <br /> <br /> $675.00 for the paving of Third street. <br /> This matter is being held up by the <br />Committee concerning the game. <br /> <br />Oommittee, <br /> <br />Pending a consultation with the Street <br /> <br /> $8~000.00 for the paving of Glasgow street, west of the Oak Grove Cemetery, <br /> This appropriation is being held up to consult with tzhe Street Committee cono~m~ting <br />same. <br /> <br /> To transfer to the Street Cleaning Account $S,840.00 for the pavimg of Water street, and <br />to appropriate $~64.7B for Crashed Stone'. <br /> It is recom~aended that a special appropriation of $S,8~0.00 be made for Street Cles~u- <br />lng, and tha~'the $B64.7~ allowed in the bUdge~ for ~rushed Stone, be now <br /> <br /> i of <br /> $1100.00 for arranging rooms on the second floor of.the City Hall for use of f remen <br />the Chambers' ~and Hook & Ladder companies, and for repairs to the buildimg. <br /> It is recommended that a special appro~r~a~mon of $1100.00 be made for the purpose <br />named. <br /> <br /> $B70.00 for plmmbing wor~im tbs Oity Jail~ <br /> It is recommended that the amount be allowed, <br />"budget." <br /> <br />out of appropriation tothe Jail in the <br /> <br />$15.00 for work on the Independent Enginehouse. <br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation to said amount be allowed. <br /> <br /> $70.00 for tinning, &ct, .and $t~7.00 for painting, th? City Hall roof. <br /> These two approprmatmons have been provided for in th~ <br />$1100,00, and in this connection it is f~rth-er recommended that the <br />for the improvement of of~moes~ar~d $211.0O for improvement of-th~ <br />"budget" for t911, be made available to the Public Property <br /> <br />of <br /> <br /> the <br /> <br />SE,000.00 for an auto-patrol wagon.
