<br />authorized to renew notes to amount of $25,000.00, due November 19, !911, and that the follow-
<br />ing resolution be adopted therefor:

<br />rized to renew notes in The Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchant~' & Farmers~ Bank, .the Bank~of Tide-

<br />ment of said property, and that the following ~esolution be adopted therefom:

<br /> "Resolved, That the Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized to make a note in The Mer-
<br />chsmts' & Farmers' Bank to amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($~0,000.~0), to he curtailed every
<br />ninety days, with interest thereon, and paid from receipts of the City f~oml~ase .of the Norfolk
<br />County Ferries.
<br /> The said note is autharized in accordance with'a resolution of the two branches of City
<br />Council, adopted June 13-20, t9tl, instructing the Joint ~Finance Committee to negotiate a loan
<br />of Six~ Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) with the several City banks, in order to ~urchase the
<br />"Armistead property," tbuching the court house yard, and to build thereon a suitable Clerk's of-
<br />lice and Council Chamber and furnish the same, which said resolution~is hem?to ~ttached."

<br /> And it is further recommended that you~appropriate $318.38 for court ~expenses,
<br />made necessary for acquiring this property.
