The Chairman of the Street Committee said <br />that he hoped the motion off Mr. Brinson would not prevails.that the question had been raised <br />as to the discretion, if not the integrity, o£ the Committee in this matter~ and therefore~ he <br />would ask Mr. Brinson to withdraw his motion and allow him, the Chairman of the Committee, to <br />move that the Common Council concur with the Board of Aldermen~ and that a Committee be appoint- <br />ed to investigate thoroughly the whole matter and report to the Council concernin~ same. <br /> Whereupon, Mr. Brinson withdrew his motion, and then the motion by the Chairman of the <br />Street Committee was adopted, and Messrs.
