<br /> It ~s recommended that award be made to R.~ H. Richardson & Son to erect, the building
<br />in its entirety: according to plans and specifications, for the sum of $Z?,97S.00, omitting from
<br />hie bid the proposition to supply any or all metal furniture, that firm being the lowest bidder
<br />for same.
<br /> It is further recommended that the bid of the Art Metal Construction Company:. o~ Bal-
<br />timore, Md., to supply the building with metal furniture, for the sum of $5:981.05, or less~
<br />be accepted, in accordance with plans and specifications for said furniture.

<br /> It is further recommended that the Committee be authorized to select a competent per-
<br />son ~o supervise the construction Of this building and the placing of metal furniture therein,
<br />and to report on same to the Council.

<br /> It is further recomm~ended that the ~City Attorney be instructed to draft

<br /> We have considered this matter and recommend as follows:

<br /> First. That the "~hite Way" now maintained by citizens on High, Effingha$: County and
<br />Chestnut streets be taken over by the City from Narch l, 191Z, and re-arranged in accordance
<br />with accompanying diagram.
<br /> Second. That the Finance and Light Committees, jointly, be instructed to make a contract
<br />with the Virginia Railway & Power Company for continuing these lights, said contract to be sub-
<br />ject to the approval of the City Council.
