We report that we do not approve of having "called men," but it is recommende~-instead that 3 additional full oaid men be employed~ one each at the Independent, Chambers~ and Pa~k View fire companies. To require the nresent oaid men of the Fire Deeartment to assist the Chief in examining all yards and the surroundings of buildings in the fire district. It is recommended that the Chief be instructed to examine all yards and surroundings of buildings, with the assistance of any paid men detailed by him for the purpose.
