Brinson said he thought the additional armory and storage facilities for Grimes Bat- <br />tery ought to be provided for less than $!0~000~ and he moved to amend that the~ ComMittee be~ <br />authorized to obtain modified plans and specifications to cover a smaller cost for same. <br /> The amendment was adopted. <br /> Er. Baker abjected to the recommendation of the Committee to have the old tree on the east <br />side of the court house removed, and he moved to amend that the recom~nendation therefor be not <br />adopted. <br /> Whereupon~ the Chairman of the Committee explained why the tree shoul~ be removed, and the <br />amendment by Mr. Baker was lost. <br /> Then the report, as amended, was adopted, the~several recommended appropriation being <br />referred to the ~inanoe.
