A bill of Richard J. Davis, Attorney, to amount of $15.00, for representing Henry Simmons as per assignment by the Court of Hustings~ It is recommended that this bill be allowed, out ~of Court Expenses. A request of. the "Norfolk Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Chiidren," for an appropri- ation to assist said Society in carrying on its work. We have examined this reques~ and recommend that a special appropriation of $E50.00 be allowed for the work. (With Sixth and Seventh Nard Boards). A bill of F. J. McGuire to amount of $5Z6.3i, for interest due on Sixth. and ~eve~th Ward notes. It is recommended that this bill be referred to the Sixth and Seventh Ward Boards for endorsement. Bills of. H. P. McCoy to amount of $18.1~, for re, ir to sewer pipes in the street in front of his tenements. We have examined these bills and~recommend that they be paid. A request of Harry A. Brinkley that the matter of improvement of Grimes Battery Gun Room be taken up again. Progress. A request of the Sixth Wa~d Board to make a note based on the Bond Fund for $3,000.00~ to ': meet. current expenses of the Ward; said amount to be refunded in June, 1913. It is recommended that said request be granted, and a note be made for $3,000.00, less $834.75 provided for above. It is further recommended that the Treasurer be instructed to report to the.Councils when said note shall have been paid~ A bill of The League of American Municipalities to amount of $40.00.
