Progress. <br /> <br /> Condition of the eastJ side of Crawford street, between P~igh and°Queen. <br /> The City Engineer has been instructed to obtain an estimate of cost of vitrified~ <br />brick on a concrete base, for the.east side of Crawford street, between High and King, and <br />Queen ~treet, between Water and Crawford. <br /> A~petition of E. $. ~ahoney and sundry o~hers for the opening of Hatton street, from Lon- <br />do~ to High. Progress. <br /> <br /> (With Ordinance Committee). A petition of E. Thompson and suncbvy others for a repeal of <br />the ordinance concerning house .connections with mains of the Water Company with lead pipes, so <br />far as it relates to High-street, from Chestnut street w~est to the County line. <br /> This Committee has agreed with the Ordinance Committee, to recom~end a repeal of the <br />ordinance requiring property owners to put in lead pipe connections on streets to be permanent- <br />ly paved hereafter. <br /> <br /> Condition of the Nest Park View Bridge and street leading to it from West Park View. The City Engineer ~eports that the bridge has just been repaired. <br /> <br /> Pa~ing with plastic pavement the east side of the Union Bridge Causeway, from Clifford <br />street to Wythe. Progress. <br /> <br /> To provide for turfing and taking care of lawns on Court and Fourth streets by the City. <br /> Prsgress. <br /> It i~ ~rther recommended that the City lay a pipe line from L~ondon street to connect <br />with the present pipe line on Glasgow stree~t, ~at an approximate co~t of $1,~00.00. <br /> An appropriation has been allowed in the Budget for 191~, and made available, for ex- <br />tending Dinwiddie street southward to Harrison, and a survey of such extension shows that, if <br />said street be extended on straight iines~ there are certain prcperties through which this <br />tension is to be made which must be acquired by the City; and it is, therefore, recommended that <br />the Street Committee, with the City Attorney, be authorized to take such steps as may be neces- <br />sa~ for acquiring the proper rights.of way for said extension. <br /> <br /> (Signed).
