Baker moved that the advisability of a l'ight:~at the corner of North and Effingham <br /> streets be referred to the Light Committee. The moti.on was adopted. <br /> <br /> By the same, to refer to Street Committee paving of roadway of Hampton Place, from Dinwid- <br /> die street to west side of Washington; andWashzngton' street, from Hampton Place to North street. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> ]~r. Tyler moved to refer to Street Committee advisability of paving with gr~uolith sidewalk <br /> on the north side of P~ndolph street, between First and Second. The mo~ion was adopted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Tyler, the advisability of a light at the corner of First and Lincoln <br /> streets was referred to the Light Committee. <br /> <br /> ¥~. ' <br /> <br /> The Chairman of the Public Property Committee asked ~h~t h2s Committee be authorized to <br />advertise for bids to supply coal to the several City Departments for the year 1914; also be <br />authorized to advertise for bids for improvements to the Seaboard Market as soon as plans for <br />same shall have been approved. On motion, the authority was granted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Beisel moved t~t the Sixth Ward Board of Improvement and the engineer in charge of <br />paving upper High street be instructed that in future no surplus dirt shall be disposed of to <br />private parties, but that it shall be used to fill High street, including sidewalks, to its pro- <br />per grade te~e~nd width. The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> }~. Johnson called attention to the fact that there was a vacancy on the Commo~ Council <br />from the Third Ward due to Mr. Geo. P. Heath having moved from said Ward, and he moved that the <br />Council go into an election ~o fill said vacancy. The motion was adopted. <br /> He then moved that Mr. M. Goodman be elected to fill the vacancy~ ~nd there being no other <br />nominations, ~He was unanimously elected by the following vote: <br /> ~yes~Corbitt, Hall~ <br /> White, Hanvey, Herbert, Baker, Johnson~ Cross, Tyler, Hutohins, Parker, Be.isel, <br /> Cooke, 1~. <br /> <br />On motion~ adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
