<br />pated Receipts and Expenditures for the Year 1914.
<br />
<br /> To have printed and distributed among the members of Council report of the joint Auditing
<br />and Finance committees in regard to manner of handling City bills.
<br />
<br /> To authorize the Auditor to issue a new warrant to G. W. Cooper to amount of $tZ.50, the
<br />original warrant having been lost, and the Auditor to take the usual securities for same.
<br />
<br /> To rescin~ previous actio~ in authorizing the borrowing of. $3,05~.87 for paymeDt of balance
<br />due on upper Hm~h street, said amount to be repaid by the Sixth_Ward; and to authorime the Treas-
<br />urer to borrow $3,103.95 fo~ the purPose, said amount includzng interest.

<br />and Seventh Wards the additional tax.allowed by the law for the year 1914, did not say what a-
<br />mount of tax was to be so imposed, but, believing that it was intended to impose on said Wards
<br />the whole amount of tax allowed, I have instructed the Commissioner of Revenue to fix such tax.

<br />of City Council February 17-Z6th, 1914:

<br /> To pay bill of F. J. McGuire to amount of $15.588.19, for ~alanee due for work done on up-
<br />per Nigh street, $1~,531.3~ of said amount to be a~towed from Smxth Ws.rd Bond Issue and the bal-
<br />ance to be advanced by the City to the Sixth Ward.
<br /> To authorize the Treasurer to renew notes to amount cf $149,~00.00 due in several City banks
<br />.in ~arch, 1914.
<br /> To allow the Park V~ew ~ire Company to use the playground for holding a carnival the latter
<br />part of May, and to exempt said Company from payment of a license tax on same; provided, ~that
<br />the right be surrendered if ~he City should need the playground before the Carnival is to be held
<br /> An Ordinance to Amend and Re-ordain Section ~$5 of the Ordinances of the City with Reference
<br />to the Police Force and ~ixing the CompenSation of.the Officers and Members-of said Force, and
<br />to Repeal Ail Ordinances in Conflict Herewith.
