<br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation of $11.~4 be allowed to pay Almshouse
<br />bills, and that othe~ Almshouse bills to amount of $26.60 be paid,, out of appropriation to
<br />Almshouse Department; that $?6.24 be s~llowed to pay Police bills, out of appropriation to Po-
<br />lice Department; $135.45 of Public Property bills out of appropriation to "Jail," $150. out of
<br />appropriation for old bills, $34.80 out of appropriation to Pmblic Property D~partment, and a

<br /> It is recommended that the request be granted, and that the following resolution be

<br /> Resolved, That the Treasttrer be, and he is hereby, authorized to make notes
<br />in The Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchants' & Farmers' Bank, the Bank of Tidewater, and The First
<br />National Bank of Portsmouth, to amotmt of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00), to meet School
<br />Expenses for M~y, 1915; said amount to be repaid from revenues of the City for the current year.
