<br /> A petition of Ers. W. V. H. Williams for an outlet ~o a sewer from her premises eastward to
<br />the creek.
<br /> We report that we have looked into the petition carefully-and find that there is no
<br />necessity for the petitioner to turn sewage from her property into the Swimming Point Creek near
<br />Washington street; that the deposit of sewage at that point is objectionable from a sanitary
<br />vmew, and therefore, it is recommended that the pe~mtmon be mot grante~.
<br /> In this connection, it is further reoomm~mded that"the petitzoner be required to con-
<br />nect her premises with the sewerage line on Carroll street.

<br /> A request of the Sixth Ward Board that 0ouncil take up with the Seaboard Ai= Line Railway
<br />Co. the matter of removing abandoned tracks across High street leading into the property of the
<br />Port~m0uth Retail Lumber Corporation; and also to take up with the Virginia Railway & Power Co.
<br />matter of completing double tracks of said 0ompany at this point on High street at the same time
<br />this crossing is being taken out by the Seaboard Air Line Ry.
<br /> We report that the Committee will take up with the S. A. L. Ry. Co. the matter of
<br />moving said tracks on High street and recommend also that the Virginia Railway & Power Co. be
<br />communicated with in the matter of oompleting~its double tracks on said High street.
<br />
<br /> A petition of taxpayers on Stonewall street, Fifth Ward, that said street be curbed~ from
<br />Chestnut street to Green. 'Progress as to same.
<br />
<br /> (~ith City Engineer). To consider the advisability of having a new topographical map of
<br />the City, and to.report cost of same.
<br /> Ne report that this map will cost about $1,~00.00. The Committee have this matter
<br />der further c~sideration.
