Davis said he though~+th~atter of improving the Seaboard Market for $~,110.00 ~hould go to the Public Property Commz~tee again, wi~h a view of reducing the amount necessary for same. Mr. s~tiefied that the necessary improvements c~ld be put on the Market for the am~ originally appropriated for it, and stated, moreover, that the Finance Committee had held this/very matter under advisement. Gentlemen:-- ~our Street Committee respectfully reports herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Street Committee December 1913: Referred by Boar~ of Aldermen December 16th. A petition of the Toung Men's Christian Association to be allowed to tunnel under its new ~uilding on the south side of High street, between Washington and Dinwiddie. It is recommended that the petition be granted on the same conditions as applied to Mr. Norman Cassell to tunnel in front of his Law Building on High street and to the Bank of Tide- water to tunnel in front of its new building.
