Nutty, Henry Pile, 9. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the regular meeting March l?th were read and were approved. <br /> When the minutes of the Joint Session March 16th were read, Nm. Birdsong to be refunded $1.89~ paid in error for soil tax for the year <br />1913. <br /> It is recommended that said amount be refunded, out of Sixth Ward funds. <br /> A request of the Sixth Ward Board that the City advance it $1,800. to enable it to take up <br />certain bills due by said Board. <br /> We report that this request is provided for in $1,750. allowed to'take up pas~ due <br />bills of the Ward by. the Councils March 17-31st. .... <br /> <br /> Bills. of D. S. Phlegar-to amounts of $~9.2B and $~$0, for report.~n'g cases of E. P. Lind- <br />say and Jobson vs. the City of Portsmouth, respectively. . <br /> It is recommended that ~e b~ll for $~9.S5 be allowed; but We report that the other <br />bill for $E5.~0 has been paid. <br /> <br /> A .request~ of the City Treas~mrer to borrow $8,000.~0 for School Expenses and tZO, O00.O0 for <br />Current Ex~enses, for April,'~191~ <br /> it.is recommended ~at~$8,000.O0, out~of the $~,000.00 allowed in.}he Budget for <br />Schools, be made available t~ ~t School Expenses for.~pril, 1914; and that tEO,O00, be appro- <br />priated to meets.
