<br /> The ordinance h~ving been read, Mr. Davis said he thought that the reduction in the bond
<br /> of the Treasurer was too large, and he moved to amend that said bond o~ fixed at $1~,000, in-
<br /> stead ef $10,000.00.
<br /> The amendment was lost and then the ordinance was adopted and by the following vote:

<br /> A request was received from the Humane Society for an ordinance in regard to overhead check
<br />reins on horses, and said request was referred to Ordinance Co~ittee.
<br /> A petition was read from J. G. Garris to be paid $E8.00 for time lost while in the employ
<br />of the Seventh Ward Board from Februmry $-E?th, on account of an. injured foot.
<br /> On motion, said petition was referred to Claims Committee.

<br /> The maturer was discussed by Messrs. Langhorne~ Davis, and Markham, and finally on motion
<br />of Mr. N~rkham, the Finance Committee was instructed to consider an approprmatmOn o $~B.0O, or
<br />ae ~uch of the same ms may be necessary, to pay for such additional work as is proposed for the
<br />License Inspector. The motion wms adopted.
