~ay 19, 19!4~ Order of Co~trt relieving estate of late Jno. L. Watson from payment of $125. for City ts~xes for the year 1913. It is recommnended that the order of Court be executed. A request of the Police Justice that the amount which was-appropriated last year, for the purchase of a filing case for his office be re-appropriated. It is recommended that $65.00 be appropriated to purchase said filing ease. A bill of Frank Dunkum te amount of $159.35, for removal of dead horses. It is recommended that this bill be paid and that the City Collector be instructed to put in a bill against Dalby, Nottingham Co. for refunding said amo-~ut to the City. A petition of King's D~ughters Hospital to have turned over to it the $5,000. appropriated to the institution for 1914. It is recommended that said amount be made available. To m~ke available $700. allowed in the Budget for "Sewering Hunter's & Eastwood's Lanes." It is recommended th~t-2h~ $700. be made aMailable. To ms~ke available $45. allowed in the Budget for "Bicycle" for the Plumbing Inspector. it is recommended that-said amount be made available. A request of the Treasttver to make notes for $7,000., to meet School Expenses for May, 1914. It ie recommended that-said request be granted and that the following resolution be adopted therefor: Resolved, That~the Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized to make'notes in The Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchants' & Farmers' Bank~ the Bank of Tidewater, and The First National Bank of Portsmouth, to amount of Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00), to meet School Expenses for the mon~zh~of Nay, 1914; s~id amount to be repaid from revenues of the 0ity for the current year. It is recommended that the premium of the Police Justice's bond be paid by him. A request of the Seventh Ward Board for an appropriation of $800. to continue an 18-inch pipe line on Lincoln street, between Effinghamand Washington.
