<br /> It is recommended that the request be granted, and that the following resolution be
<br />adopted therefor:
<br /> Resolved, That 'the Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized to make notes
<br />in T~e Bank of Portsmouth, The Merchants' & Farmers' Bank, the Bank of Tidewater, and The First
<br />National Bank of Portsmouth, to amount of Eight Thousand Dollars ($S,000.00), to meet School
<br />Expenses for May, 1914; said amount to be repaid from revenues of the City for the current yea~.

<br /> To refund to G. T. Taylor $1.80 paid for erroneous assessment of night soil tax in the
<br />Seventh Ward.
<br /> It is recommended that this petition be referred to the Commissioner of Revenue for
<br />his endorsement.

<br /> A request of the Seventh Ward Board that Council provide certain funds to amount of $1,934,
<br />to take care of regular expenditures of the ~ar.d for April, Nay and June.

<br /> It is recommended that said petition be referred to the Commissioner of Revenue for

<br />two coupons lost by a runner of the bank.
