<br /> The regular reports of Officers for the month of July, 1914, were presented and were order-
<br />ed to t~the usual course.

<br /> A petition ef N. 8otomem and sundry other property owners on First street for safe and
<br />olean sidewalks ~ front of their property was referred to Street Committee.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Langhorne called attention to the fact that certain property on the west side of Third
<br />street in the ~ourth~rd was in default to the Oity for taxes and, on mormon, said matter was
<br />referred to the Public Property Committee for examination and report.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Markham remarked that it was about time tc adjourn but before going so he desired to
<br />move that the thanks cf thebody be extended to Mr. W. Jones Williams, President, for the faLv
<br />and impartial manner in which he had presided over the deliberations of the Bo?rd~ and so moved.
<br /> The motion was~adopte~ and then Mr. Williams expressed his appreciation fe~ the thanks
<br />extended him.

<br />rinK), to fill a vacancy on the School Board from the Fifth Ward, caused by failume of John_ F.
<br />Wilson, elected thereto, t'o qualify; a vacancy on the Seventh Ward Improvement Board, caused by
<br />resignation of W. E. V~h~teh~st therefrom.

<br />' Thereupon, the Clerk made known that the first thing in order would be the election of a
<br />temporary Chairman of same, and~Nr. C. N. Narkham was made such Chairman.
<br /> The Chairman then a~ked for nominations for President of the body for the incoming two y~rs
<br />and Mr. L. H. Davis was nominated for the position and elected, without Opposition, and by the
<br />following vote:
