Oc_tober 11 ~ Darrell Craig to~ be reappointed to fill a term effective Noven~ber 1, 1994. of three years, Byron P. Kloeppel to be reappointed to fill a term of three years, effective November 1, 1994. Vandelyn S. Whitehurst to be reappointed to fill a term of three years, effective November 1, 1994. Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to close -the nominations, and there being no further nominations, the above were approved by unanimous vote. 94-412 Items Submitted by Council Members There were no items submitted. 94-413 - Receipt of Other Cox~=LLunications Stuart Katz, City Attorney, updated City Council on the closure of David's II and the Ebony Showcase Night Clubs. 94-414 - Continued Non-Agenda Speakers There were no speakers. Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of the use or acquisition of real property for public purpose in the southern, Churchland and central portions of the City, as permitted under Subsection (A) (3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Martin pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
