<br /> "Resolved, That the Joint Finance Committee of the City Council
<br />be authorized to arrange for the sale of Two Hundred Thousand Dolt&rs (~300,000.00) of the City
<br />of Portsmouth six percent (6%) two (3) year notes at par, with. a brokerage not to exceed one
<br />percent (1%); and that. the proceeds of such sale shall be applied to the paymen~ of the City
<br />notes now held by the several Portsmouth banks."
