Matters adcrgted by t.he Board of Aldermen June l?th and referred to the Common Coun- <br />cil for concurrence. <br /> <br /> To allow an appropriation of $300.00, <br />and repair the meat and fish markets. <br /> Concurred in. <br /> <br />or as much of the <br /> <br />sa~e as may be <br /> <br />necessary, to screen <br /> <br />$100. against the <br /> that eS00. <br /> <br /> To instruct the Commissioner of the Revenue to assess a license tax ~f <br />Portsmouth Sa~*n:gs & Loan Corporation; and if $~00. has been paid by~aid Corporation, <br />be re~xuded it. <br /> Referred to Finance Commit~ee.~y the common Council. <br /> <br />Farmer <br /> <br />the City of Portsmouth on a basis of $375. plus <br /> <br />To settle the case of B. Finance Committee to advertise for sale of $S00, G00. of bonds for a water <br />plant. <br /> <br /> To authorize the Public Property Committee to advertise for bids to enlarge, &c., Grimes <br />Battery Gun Room. <br /> <br /> To-request the Board of Sinking Fund Commissioners to lend the Oity the balance of $10,GZZ. <br />for General~p~nsee. <br /> <br />To allow an appropriation of $2,000. to enlarge, &c., Grimes Battery Gun Room. <br /> <br />All of the above were concurred in and by the following vote: <br />Ayes--Davis, <br />Markham, Langhorne, Barlow, Cart, Adams, Privett, .Wilson, Browne,~Frey, -10. <br /> <br /> hird. <br /> Communications from the Mayor. <br /> ~k~the Council.
