<br />The minutes of the regular meeting September 14th were read and were approved.
<br />
<br /> At this point, it w~s noted that a delegation of colored citizens was present in the in-
<br />terest of an appropriation for the establishment of a night school for colored youths.
<br /> Whereupon, on motion of M~. Hanvey, the rules were ~uspended, and several of the delegation
<br />spoke, urging, an.appropriation of probably $~00. for the e~tablishment cf such night school.
<br /> The citizens Were assured by the Chair that the petition would be considered under its
<br />proper head.
