<br /> The following directions for the Joint Session were read:

<br />oil or the special meeting of the Common Council~ respectively, called for September ~?th, but
<br />those present agreed to meet for such sessions Tuesday, ~ctober 5th, at $ o'clock P. M. and
<br />to urgently request that you attend promptly to consider. '

<br /> "First. The election of a Bourd of Health for the term of two years beginning July 1st,
<br />1915.
<br /> "Second~ The confirmation of election of Dr. Joe. Griee as City Bacteriologist by the
<br />Board of Health.

<br />'Ward)."Third' The filling of a vacancy on the School Board from the Second School District ~Fifth
<br />
<br /> eFourth. The filling of a vacancy on the Board of Park Commissioners, caused by resigna-
<br />tion therefrom of Rev. A. C. Thomson.

<br />to consider a renewal of notes and the making of new notes in the several City banks, which ac-
<br />tion requires fifteen affirmative votes of the ~ntire bod~&

<br /> "The.borrowing Of money is necessary for the payment of City e~ployees and teachers'of
<br />the Public Schools for October.

<br /> TEe "call" having been read, Mr. Burgess moved that the confirmation of election of City
<br />Bacteriologist be first taken up. The motion was adopted.
<br /> Me then moved to confirm the election by the Board of Health of Dr. Jos..Grice as City Bac-
<br />teriologist, and the motion was adopted by the following vote:

<br /> The next matter taken ~p was the filling of a vacancy on the School Board from the Second
<br /> School District (Fifth Ward), and Mr. Browne moved that Mr. F. T. Briggs be elected to fill the
<br /> vacanoy~
<br /> . There being no other nominations, Mm. Briggs was elected and by the following vote:

<br /> And there being no other nominations, they were elected and by the following vote,
