S.) moved to refer to Finance Committee the advisability of creating an of- <br />fice for the purpose of inspecting the construction of buildings and the installation of electric <br />wiring, and, if practical,~.to combine the two offices into one. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hanvey presented a resolution with regard to the manner, &c., of purchasing supplies <br />for the City, and same was referred to the Rules Committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. H~uvey presented "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JOINT FINANCE COMMITT~ ON AND AFTER <br />JANUARY t, 1916, TO HAVE THE ~&~NAGEMENT AND DIRECTION OF ALL CITY ?JNDS; TO MAKE AND RENEW NOTE9 <br />UNDER CERTAIN LIMITATIONS IMPOSED BY LAW OR ORDINANCE OR RULE OF THE COUNCIL, &c." <br /> On motion, said resolution was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Reynolds moved that the body reconsider action taken November 9th as to opening Hatton <br />street.
