It is recommended that said amount be maple available. ~nd there- An appropriation not to exceed $25,Q00. to purchase sites for a new High School ~nd negro School. This m~tter has been referred back to the Public Property & Schools Committee by the Board of Aldermen. To m~.~e available the following ~mounts allowed i~ the Budget for Public Prop?ty Depart- "~ ~ · Public Bu~ld~ngs," $9?5.00; and "Repairs to Union ment: "Jail Sup~lies, tDO0.~0~ "Repairs to Fire House," $i3~.00. It is recommended as heretofore recommended, that the appropriation ~llowed in the Budget for "Jail Supplies" be made available 1/12 mo~thiy; that there be made available the balamce of the $975. aliowed in the BUdget for '~epamrs to Public Buildings," s~ud $130. for "Repairs to Union Fire House." A bill of J. W. Booth & Bro. to amount of $65.0D, over the regular ~llowsmce f~r "Drugs" for the months of August and September, 1915. It is recommended that a special appropriation to said s~mount be allowed to pay said bill, same to be paid when properly approved by the Almshouse Committee. An ~opropriation of $35©. to purchase a Testing Machine for City lights. It is recommended that the Light Committee be requested to give the Finance Committee some description of what it is proposed to purchase and the mamner of using the machine. To m~ke available the appropriation of $300. allowed in the Budget for 5 s~iditional arc lithts, ~ of which are to be placed as follows: on the?est Park View Bridge (already acted on); corner Columbia & Middle streets; King & Green; aha Owen &Ann streets. It is recommended that said ~opropriation be m~de available. An appropriation for an arc ~ight at the corner of King street and Sixth avenue, out of Sixth Ward funds. It is recommended that 3 incandescent lights be placed in the Sixth Ward, at a total cost of $66.00; one to be placed at the corner of King street a~d Sixth avenue, the other two locations robe na~ed by the Sixth Ward Board later. An appropriation of $2,450. to purchase the Guthrie property adjoining the 0~k Grove Cemetery. We report that this.matter was recommitted by the Bomrd of Aldermen to the Cemetery Committee for further inform~tion. Reports of Officers for the month of January, 19i6. We report that we have examined these reports and it is recommended thmt they be filed. A report of the Auditor of the following bills held up by him, because of lack of appro- priation or because they ~xceeded l~t2 of appropriation allowed for s~me: Fire, $?.50; Water Commission, $218.97; Sixth War~, Night Soll, $30.00. A bill of the Board of Harbor Commissioners to amount of $3~5.00, for ~hird quarterly pay- m~ent on account of' assessment of $1500. for fisos~l year ending June~30, 1916. ~t is recommended that the Auditor be instructed to pay said bills when they fall due quarterly.
