W. Booth & Bro. to amount of $65.0D, over the regular ~llowsmce f~r "Drugs" <br />for the months of August and September, 1915. <br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation to said s~mount be allowed to pay said <br />bill, same to be paid when properly approved by the Almshouse Committee. <br /> <br /> An ~opropriation of $35©. to purchase a Testing Machine for City lights. <br /> It is recommended that the Light Committee be requested to give the Finance Committee <br />some description of what it is proposed to purchase and the mamner of using the machine. <br /> <br /> To m~ke available the appropriation of $300. allowed in the Budget for 5 s~iditional arc <br />lithts, ~ of which are to be placed as follows: on the?est Park View Bridge (already acted <br />on); corner Columbia & Middle streets; King & Green; aha Owen &Ann streets. <br /> It is recommended that said ~opropriation be m~de available. <br /> <br /> An appropriation for an arc ~ight at the corner of King street and Sixth avenue, out of <br />Sixth Ward funds. <br /> It is recommended that 3 incandescent lights be placed in the Sixth Ward, at a total <br />cost of $66.00; one to be placed at the corner of King street a~d Sixth avenue, the other two <br />locations robe na~ed by the Sixth Ward Board later. <br /> <br /> An appropriation of $2,450. to purchase the Guthrie property adjoining the 0~k Grove <br />Cemetery. <br /> We report that this.matter was recommitted by the Bomrd of Aldermen to the Cemetery <br />Committee for further inform~tion. <br /> <br />Reports of Officers for the month of January, 19i6. <br /> We report that we have examined these reports and it is recommended thmt they be filed. <br /> <br /> A report of the Auditor of the following bills held up by him, because of lack of appro- <br />priation or because they ~xceeded l~t2 of appropriation allowed for s~me: Fire, $?.50; Water <br />Commission, $218.97; Sixth War~, Night Soll, $30.00. <br /> We report th,at the Fmre bill~.for $y.5© has been paid; a~d it is reeom~ended that a <br />special appropriation of $218.9Y be allowed to pay the Water Commission bills. After a confer- <br />ence with the Chairman of the Sixth Ward Boa~d, it is understood that his Board will m~ke re- <br />quest ~or ~u appropriation of $~5. fo= Night Soil bills. <br /> <br /> A report of the Auditor of a number of bills for the Police Department and Fire Alarm, <br />for which there is no appropriation. <br /> It is recommended that the followlngappropriations recommended in the Budge~ for <br />1916 fo~ Police and Fire Departments, ~nich were not ~dopted, be now made: Maintenance of Fire <br />Almrm, $250.00~ ~rrent for Fire A~arm, $100.00; Improvements to Fire Alarm, $500.00; Mainte- <br />nance of Police Telegrmph, $200.00; aud Repairs to Police Telegraph, $3!~.00. <br /> <br /> A bill of the Board of Harbor Commissioners to amount of $3~5.00, for ~hird quarterly pay- <br />m~ent on account of' assessment of $1500. for fisos~l year ending June~30, 1916. <br /> ~t is recommended that the Auditor be instructed to pay said bills when they fall due <br />quarterly. <br /> <br /> (With Public Property & Schools Committee) A request of the Board of Hemlth that neces- <br />sary funds be provided for the erection of ~ suitable house to be used as m detention ~tation <br />for contagious diseases. <br /> Progress as to same. <br /> <br /> A petition of Jas.
