<br />~ minority report to the Fire Committee's report. BeE to state that we opened bids for Fire
<br />Hose a~d Tripple Combin~tzon PumpzngEu=zne ~nd in my opinion, without giving these matters
<br />proper consideration and investigation ~ud almost without discussion in the Committee, the
<br />recommendation of the majority was rushed through. I reserved at that time the right to
<br />vesti~te myself ~ad if my investig~tion justified it, ~o bring in a minority report.
<br /> I ~ediately wrote letters to m number of people but the time being so short hmve only
<br />hsd! time to he~r from m few but from those I did hear from w~s sufficient for me to request
<br />your honorable body to refer this mmtter back to the Committee for thorough investigation~
<br />This is not a m~tter of m few hundred dollars but thousands and there mppea~s to be other en-
<br />gines Just as good if not better tha~ the La.~ranoe for less money, as the attached copy of let-
<br />ters will show, and I also believe that the 750 g~llon engine will m~et the requirements of
<br />our City fs~r better tha~that recommended by the m~jority~ which a further investigmtion will
<br />probably show.

<br />have removed a~ his own expense all oodies waioh may be found inthms property, precedzng
<br />payment for same, and that he can give a clear title for it to the City.
