<br />ss~fety gates at Elm aud Race avenues, Prentis and Race avenues, and where Dinwiddie street
<br />crosses the S. A. L. tracks.
<br /> In a conference or,he Committee with Superintendent Marshall, of the S, A. L. Ry.
<br />Co., and representatives from the Sixth and Seventh Ward Boards, the following was agreed to
<br />as to what would be a sm~isfactory arrangement for the present; namely, that a safety gate be
<br />placed on Uin~iddie street where e~oseed by the S. A. L. R~ilway tracks, &nd t?~t when a train
<br />is crossing the other two named intersections, the engineers shall slow down to.such a rate of
<br />travel as will give pedestrians or d~ivers of vehicles sufficient warning of its approach to
<br />said crossings.

<br /> It is recommended that said petition be granted, the work to be done under the super-

<br /> We make the same recommendation as before, nmmely: That Hatton street be opened from
<br />London to High, at a cost not to exceed $20,000.00; E~. H. L, Alexander to finance the whole
<br />preposition of acquiring the Rosenbaum estate and the property of E. B. Wilkins, and that he
<br />be given the City's note for same, without interest, pmyable July 1st, 1919.
<br /> In addition thereto, it is recommended thatl&v. Alex~uder be required to grade said
<br />strip of land to correspond with High &nd London streets, at his own expense, as in accordance
<br />with his letter attached,
