<br /> The foregoing sections to apply to every cart, truck, wagon, automobile, automobile van
<br />or truck, or h~ck usea for conveying or hauling persons, merchandise, for hire or not (except-
<br />ing such as are used exclusively for domeatie or farm purposes); and no vehicle sh~ll be used
<br />in the city for hauling, directly or indirectly, for the purpose of evading the aforesaid tax,
<br />but amy person may obtain a special license to haul his own goods or other articles for his
<br />tzade or business without subjecting his wagon, team or vehicle to be hired by others, in which
<br />case the Commissioner of the Revenue is authorized to graat him a special license therefor upon
<br />the payment of aforesaid t~x.

<br />Each shipbroker, $25.00.
<br />
<br />Each stockbroker, $150.00.
<br />
<br />Each pawnbroker, $300.00.
<br />
<br /> Each person, firm or corporation, other tha~ bsmks, bankers or pawnbrokers, who shall make
<br />it a business to lend money on salaries or rents, annuities, or the purchase of notes, or ne-
<br />gotiating or making loans on notes or household furniture or other personal property, $300.00.

<br />Brokers, or dealers in timber, logs, or pi~les, each firm or corporation, $20.00.

<br /> Each private banker, $250.00; cad when a person or firm is assessed with a license tax,
<br />both ~s a private bauker and a stockbroker, $~00.00.

<br /> Buyers or sellers on commission of contracts for future delivery of st~'oks, cotton, g~ain
<br />or other produce or pr~visions, whether bought or sold direct or through others, or by wire or

<br /> Each person, firm or corporation, who shall engage in the business of brokerage for print-
<br />ing or book binding, $20.00 in s~ldition to any tax on capital invested.

<br />Each maaufacturer or dealer in bricks, not otherwise taxed, $I0.00.

<br /> Each eating house, $10.00, and an addition~l~azm~ai tax of 5 per cent. on the rental value

<br />tened or unfmstened, connected with a barroom or other plmce where intoxicating liquors are
<br />sold, in addition to the regular license tax on liquors, $50.00.

<br /> Each circus, show, or menagerie, within the city or within one mile of the boundary there-
<br />of, for every twenty-four hours or part of the same, including one street pa=adc, $100. where

<br /> EaCh street parade of a circus, show or menagerie, not included in the above, but where
