Slater, City Clerk, to amount of $9.00, for carrying to our =spre- <br />sem~tatives in the Generml Assembly a copy of proposed amendment to the City Charter. <br /> <br /> To.make available the balance off$250, out of the Budget to repmir condition of the Fire <br />Alarm Telegrmph System. <br /> <br />To s.llow sm mppropriation of $75. for the a~unuat parade of firemen. <br /> <br /> All of the above were concurred in, except section to refer to Public Property & <br />Schools Committee with power to act, condition of floors of ~he Chambers engine room, which <br />was amended so as to refer to the Public Property & Schools 'Committee to a~ertain oondmtion <br />not only of the floor of said engine room but the whole building. <br /> <br /> The Board of Aldermen concurred also in mi1 reoommendmtions of Committees adopted <br />by the Common Council, except recommendmtlon of the Finance Committee to allow a special ap- <br />propriation of $21~.97 to pay Water Comm~ission bills held up by the Auditor in February for <br />lacks, of appropriation, which recommendation was not adopted by the Board; recommendation of <br />the Street Committee that Cooke street be opened, from Columbia to South, which recommendation <br />wms ~ecommitted by the Board; and recommendmtions of the Fire Committee to purchase from the <br />American LmFra~oe Fire Engine Co. & T2i~ple Combinmtion Pumping Engine, for $9,000.O0,a~d 2500 <br />feet of fire hose from the Fabric Fire ~ose Co. @ $1.00 per foot, s~id recommendations being <br />recommitted by the Board. <br /> <br /> The Common Council EarO~_ l~th referred the matter of a Testing Machine to the Light <br />Committee for some description of what it is proposed to purchase and the mauner of using the <br />machine, upon recommendation of the Finance Committee; but the Board referred the appropriation <br />of $350. to purchase Said machine to the Finance Committee with instructions to make the appro- <br />priation available. <br /> <br /> The Board of Aldermen March'21st adopted the recommendation of the Street Committee <br />With regard to opening P~tton street, from London to High. <br /> <br /> The Board of Aldermen Mmroh 2~th passed by consideration of the Cemetery report. <br /> <br /> Second. To make available $190. allowed in the Budget for "Ann St. Sidews~lk." <br /> To make available 1/12 monthly the amount allowed in the Budget for ,Jm~l Supplies~" <br /> To make avmilmble the balance of the $975. allowed in tn~ Budget for "Reps.irs ~o Public <br />Buildings." <br /> To make available $130. mllowed in the Budget for "Repairs to Union Fire House." <br /> To make available the appropriation of $300. allowed in the Budget for 5 additional arc <br />lights, ~ of which are to be placed as follows: on the ~est Park View Bridge (alres~y acted on); <br />corner Columbia & Middle streets; King & Green~ and Owens & Ann streets. <br /> The following appropriations recommended in the Budget for 1916 now made for the Police <br />and Fire Depmrtments: Maintenance of Fire Almrm, $250.00~ 0urrent for Fire Alarm, $t00.00; !m- <br />provements to Fire Alarm, ~$500.00; Maintenance of Police Telegraph, $200°00; and Repairs to Po- <br />lice Telegraph, $316.GO. <br /> To instruct the Auditor to pay bills of the Board of Ha~bor Commissioners when they fall <br />due quarterly. <br /> A speoi~t mppropriation to pay bills of members of the Board of Review of assessments and <br />Clerk of said Board, .by appointment for 1915, as follows: E. R. Barksdale, $12.00; M. P. Claud, <br />$44.00; Louis J. Morr~s, $56.00; R. C.
