<br /> It is recommended that the work be done, one,fourth of the cost to be paid by the Sixth
<br />Ward, one-fourth by the Seventh Ward, and one-half by the City; the City to be subsequently re-
<br />imbursed by the Portsmouth Coal & Ice Co. and Wm. G. Maupin to amount of one-fourth or $150. each.

<br /> We report that we have opened bids for concrete culverts on the Was, mngton street add
<br />Harrison street crossings of Gander Creek and received therefor two bids:

<br /> We report thmt we have been offered by Mr. Archibald 0gg $2. per cubic yard for some
<br />of the round cobble stones which have been taken from Cr&wford street; and we recommend that the
<br />City sell to Mr. 0gg what he wants of these stones at the price offered.

<br />in the J~il building; that the Plumbing Inspector be instructed to assist the Public Property &
<br />Schools Committee in looking after the work~ and that the Auditor be instructed to pay bill for
