The motionwas adotted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Dashiell, the Department of Public Safety w~s authorized to advertise <br />for 1,000 feet of fire hose. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dashiell moved that the Department of Law prepare an ordinance changing the name of <br />the "Almshouse" to the "City Home," and ~o prepare also an ordinance to regulate the erection <br />of buildings, &c. The motion w~s adopted. <br /> <br /> At this point, ~he President desired to know how ma~y will attend the League of Virginia <br />Munlcipalitt$~ ~t Clifton Forge September 26~28th. <br /> Mr. Herbert stated that he would attend and Mr. Morgan stated that he would probably go. <br /> On motion of Mr. Morgan, the President was mppointed <br />the others who might be able to go. <br /> <br /> E~r.
