<br />him some money that he would like to collect.

<br />on June 3rd, 1~1~, but was not accepted, s~ud was returned and another ~s brought over to

<br />Happer, City Attorney, we visited Er. O. L. Williams on May 2)rd, .1~17, in reference to the
<br />change made in channel between Crawford and Eiddle streets, and Capt. Happer stated that he
<br />would draw up ~ paper ~o submit to Er. Williams. In conference with Capt. Hs~pper today, he
<br />informed me that he would finish the deed by the 2?th. instant,

<br /> On motion, the Clerk was instructed to advise the Board of Harbor Commissioners of the
<br />status of Ga~uder Creek.

<br /> At this point, Er. Herbert offered the following resolution concerning the City Manager:

<br /> "~h~eas it appears to the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, That T. B. Shert-
<br />zer is not f~miliar with the needs and urgencies of the City of Portsmouth, and is Unable to
<br />satisfactorily handle the municipal s~ffairs of the city;
<br /> "Therefore Be it Resolved, Dy the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, That the
<br />service of T. B. Shertzer as City ~-~nager be dispensed with on and after July 31,
<br />
