Claud, Chai~ma~ of the Public Welfare Department, submitted a tabulation <br />of the various sl~es oSfe2edrfo~ cemetery purposes, which had been m~de by the City Ean~ger. <br /> Mr. Claud noted that the ~n~ger had failed to report on the piece of g~ound west of and <br />s~ijoining OaX Grove Cemetery. ~nereupon, the Man~ger gave his reasons for not doing so. <br /> Mr. Herbert then moved that each Counoiim~n be furnished with a copy of the t~oulation, <br />includir~ the ground referred to by Mr. Claud; that the E~nager be ~repared with a recommendation <br />by the next meeting of the Council, and thmt the Council then vote on the matter. <br /> The motion was adopted° <br /> <br /> ~Lr. Herbert called attention to the resignation o£ E. Alexander Hatton as m member of<~he <br />Board of Quarantine Commissioners for the District of Elizabeth River, which w~s accepted Dy <br />the body September 25th, and he moved that a successor to Mr. Hatton be elected at this meeting. <br /> The motion w~s adopted. Then Dr. J. D.
