November 16, 1917 <br /> <br /> A special meeting of the City'Counoil, called by the President, was held on the above date, <br />with the following members present: <br /> <br />Messrs--T. A. Bunting, M. P. Claud, Earl H. Wright, <br /> J. T. Hmnvey, C. H. Herbert, Carroll D. Deaus, <br /> W. H. Culpepper, 7. <br /> Also the City M~n~ger. <br /> <br /> The President stated that he hs~i called tSe 'o~dy together in order to have a meeting with. <br />the newly elected Councilmen a~d to discuss a re-a~m~gement of the several Departments.. <br /> <br /> Whereupon, the m~t~er of re-arranging the sever~ 0~ep_artm~n~s. ws~szdiecussed, but no <br />satisfactory conclusion was reached therefor. <br /> <br /> The City Manager stated that the money appropriated, SECO.CO, to send him as a delegate <br />to the City Eanagers' Association inDetroit, Mich., wms more than enough for the purpose and <br />he thought m member of the Council might be send with him. <br /> The Chair called on the several members to know ~ho could go with the CityNanager, but <br />all declined to go~ except Mm. Herbert. <br /> Whereupon, on motZon, Mr. Herbert was delegated to accompany the City Manager. <br /> <br />November 20, 1917. <br /> <br /> A regular meeting of the City Council should have been held on the above date, but because <br />of absence of the City Ma.u&ger, who was attendir~ the City Managers' Association at Detroit, <br /> <br />Mich., the meeting stgod%djourned, <br /> <br />by agreement, until Tuesday, November 2?th. <br /> <br />November E?, 1917. <br /> <br />At an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council November 2?th there were present: <br /> <br />Messrs--T.
