<br /> Then petitions were read from sundry citizens of Port Norfolk and from various manufactur-
<br />ing companies on the Belt Line, protesting against the proposed annexation.
<br />
<br /> On ~.otion, the privilege of the floor was granted to citizens of the proposed territory
<br />to speak in regard to the ordina~uce~ and several citizens mpel:e in favor of and against the
<br />annexation.
<br />
<br /> Finally, the ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote:
