Wright, ?o <br /> Also the City Manager. <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular meeting ~arch 1Sth were read and were approved. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF DEPART~h~S <br />Law-- No report. <br /> <br />Puhtic Service-- <br /> No report. <br /> <br /> Public Property-- <br /> The following reconLmendation of~the City Manager was submitted by <br />the Department: <br /> aIn pursuance with a resolution authorizing tlne City ~anager to advertise for <br />a lease of the Parker Farm recently pt~chased by the City for a cemetery, and <br /> <br /> "Whereas, Three bids were received and the bid of ~. Reginald Wright'was the best bid, <br /> <br /> "Therefore Be It Resolved, That the City accept the bid of ~r. Wright and award the con- <br />tract to b~ in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in-the contract entitled, <br />~A Contract for Lease of Parker Farm, Owned by the City of Portsmouth,~ a copy of which is h~e- <br />to attached. <br /> <br /> ,Please note hereto attached checks for cash payment in accordance with terms mentioned <br />in said conSract. <br /> <br /> "W. Progress as to same. <br /> <br /> A request of the Humane Society that the appropriation of $25. yearly to said Society be <br />made available° <br /> It is reconnaended that the $25. be made available. <br /> <br /> Reports of the various 0ffieers for the month of Febru&~y, 1918 <br /> ~e report that we have examined same and it is recozmnended that they be filed. <br /> <br /> A report of the City Clerk & Auditor on the report of the Civil & Police Justice on fines <br />not collected for the year <br /> This report is not sufficient and we desire more infov~,~ation as to same. <br /> <br /> A pe~mt~on of T. Thomas vs. The Ferries <br />Co., which check was lost in the mail. <br /> Progress. <br /> <br /> A bill of the City Treasurer to amount of $123;25, as 10% co_~nission on $1,232.45, <br />taxes collected from October 1st, .1917, to ~rch 11, 1918. <br /> It- is rsoo~maended that an appropriation to said amount be made available. <br /> <br />1916 <br /> <br /> A petition of the Nc~folk Society for th~ P~evention of Cruelt~r to Chitd~en to have made <br />available the appropriation to said Society. <br /> It is recommended that said amount provided in the Budget be made available. <br /> <br /> (With City Attorney) Claim of H.
