An Ordinance Relating to the Sale and Use of Gas in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />the Inspection of Gas and Gas Meters, and Providing for the Appointment of a Gas Inspector, and <br />Prescribing his Duties. <br /> The ordinance 'having been read, the privilege of the floor was granted to B, B. Ferguson, <br />Supe~indt.of the Portsmouth Gas Company, who asked that his Compan~v be given an opportunity <br />to study the ordinance before its adoption~ <br /> ~. C. Do L~son~ from the Central Labor Union, spoke in favor of the ordinance. <br /> ~. Herbert stated~ that-he was in favor of the ordinance, except the paragraph relating <br />to advertising sa~e in the PortSmouthSts~~. <br /> ~.
