Mr. Herbert pr. esented the followir~ resolution, which was adopted: <br /> "~*BERE~S, Section 216 <br />of the City Code requires that the Keeper s~ll open the Cemeteries at ~ a. m. fr0~ ~y l~t <br />to ~pte~er 30th and 8 a. m. '-from October 1st to April 30th, and close the same at sun down, <br /> <br /> "NHEREAS, V~e believe'it to be a 2~rdship at this time to req~ire such long ho~s from the <br />Keeper and his Assistants, <br /> <br /> BE I~ RE~OLVED, That th~ Department of Law bring in an ~nce requ~rm~g th~ Cemeteries <br />to be ~pened at 8 a. m. and closed at 6:~0 P. M. fron~ AFril t~t-to 0ctob~r ist and at sunset fro~ <br />October tst to April lst; and that the said ordinance go into effect as of ~Ju~e l, 1919. <br /> <br /> Mr. HerDert moved that %he Department of Law bring in. an amendment to the "one man car" <br />ordinance, seas to strike out the words "street car crossir~" as they appear in the ordimanee <br />and tO Strik~ out the words~ "full age"~ and insert in place thereof the words "18 years of age <br />and over,." <br /> The privilege of the floor~ was granted to Mr. Pope to speak on this motif.
