Wright mOved to amend, that ~he Justices be elected Saturday, May 31st. <br /> The amendment was adopted. <br /> <br /> At this point Mr. Co~ntiss, of'the Eighth Ward CiVic Lea~ue, asked that Broad street be <br />opened tO High street at as early a date as possible; and called attention to the necessity of <br />repairing the roads ~nPort Norfolk. <br /> 0n motion, the Hatters ~ere referred to the City Manager. <br /> <br /> 1~ BUSII1ESS <br /> <br /> The following resolution was presented andwas referred to the City Attorney and De~tment <br />of Pttblic Property: ' <br /> "BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of Portsmouth, Vir~inia, that, <br /> <br /> "WHEREAS, under an indent~re of lease made on the ~lst day of March, 1909, between the City <br />of Portsmouth and the COunty of Norfolka~d R. E. Jorda~,~it was orovided in the 10th pa~agr~ph <br />of the maid indenture that the said lease$,R. E.
