Mr. Herbert presented the following resolution, which was adopted: <br /> <br /> "N~-JhEAS, Section 216 <br />of the City Code re~ires that the K~epe~ s~ll Open the Cemeteries at 7 a. m. from ~y 1st <br />to September 30th and 8 a. m. 'f~om October 1st to APril 30th, and close the same at sT down, <br />and, <br /> "WHEREAS, We believe-it to be a hardship at-this time to require such long hours f~om the <br />Keeper and his Assistants, <br /> <br /> "BE IT RESOLV~D, That the Department of Law bring, in an~e requiring %he C~meterlem <br />to be' ~pened at 8 a. m. and closed at 6:50 P. M. from Aprit t~%~t0 0ctob~r 1st' and a% sunset from <br />October tst to APril lst; and that the said ordinance go into effect as of June l, 19!9. <br /> <br /> Mr; Herbert moved that-the Department of Law bring in an amendment to the "one man car" <br />0rdirm~ce, so as to strike out the words "street car crossing" as they appear in the Ordinance <br />and to' strike out the words*"full agem and insert in place thereof the words "18 years of age <br />and over."
