<br />City Man~ger, be adopted:
<br /> An 0~dinance to Amend and Re-ordain an 0rdir~nce to License and Hegulate
<br />the Running of Automobiles, ~ocomobiles,~ ~otorc~cles, Stre~et Cars, ar~ all Other Vehicles and
<br />Conveyances, Whose ~otive Power is Other than Animal Power, Along and Over the Streets of the
<br />City of Portsmouth; to Provide Uniform .~R?~.- e~egu~lating the Lights, the Use, and the Speed There-
<br />of, and to .Prescr~ibe Per~lties for the Vmolation of said Rules and Regulations; to Provide Rules
<br />and Regulations Governing Automobiles Buses, Jitney Aut~obiles, and Taxi-Cabs Engaged in the
<br />Transportation of Passengers; to Require a License and Bond of all Chauffeurs and Drive~s of Such
<br />Buses, Jitneys, and TaEi-C~bs; and to Repeal so ~uch of Section 383 of the Municipal Code as is
<br />in Conflict with this Ordinance.

<br /> It is recommended that said amendment be adopted.

<br /> Recommendation of~the City Manager that Section 19V, Page 94, Chapter 1~, of the City:Code
<br />be amended so as to read in accordance with copy of Ordinance attached, withregard to sealing
<br />of weights and measures by the Sealer of W'eights & Measures.

<br />be allowed to resurface Glasgow street, between 2f~ngham and Hatton, with asphalt surface; this
<br />appropriation to cover the purchase of an asphalt pot to keep the 18 miles of streets maintain-
<br />ed during the winter months.
<br /> It is recommended that this work be done.
