039 March 14, 1995 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, March 14, 1995, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, Cs-meron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, George M. Willson, Acting City Attorney. 95-112 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 1995, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 95-113 The following items were discussed in the Public Work Session: 1. Pinner's Point Connector 2. Civil Service Commission Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consultation with leqal counsel and briefings by staff members involving actual litigation (Abex) and a legal matter involving a use permit, as permitted under Subsection (A)(7). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such publicibusiness matters as were identified in the motion by which thelExecutive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
