<br /> The minutes of the regular meeting May 2~th were read. On motion of Mm. Hmll, the minutes
<br />with. regard to a communication from the Woman's Democratic Organization were corrected to read
<br />as follows: "A communication was read from t~e Woman's Democratic Organization stating that
<br />a~ a regular meeting of the said Organization held at the home of Mrs. Woodson Ezell May 5th,
<br />it was decided to ask the Council for representation on the School Board amd that the. name
<br />of Mrs. Cora Stsmwood Darden was put in nomination and unanimously elected in place of Mr.
<br />H~rry Outhriell, resigned. Mr. Hall nominated Mrs, D~rden flor the position, seconded by.Mr.
<br />Esleeck. H~. Brooks moved to amend thmt the election of a successor to Mr. Outhriell be .laid
<br />on the table until the next regular meeting of the Council. Mr. Hall withdrew hie motion,
<br />and the motion by Mr. Brooks was adopted.
