<br />It is recommended that the Order of Court be complied with.

<br /> Recommendation of the City Manager on retiring Noah Hoffler and Joseph Pate, £ormer em-
<br /> ployees of the City, now physically incapactitated.
<br />It is recommended that Noah Hof£1er and Joseph Pate be paid $50~ pe~ month each,
<br />'~out of Pension Fund, beginning August tst, 1921, until Council passes an ordinance governing
<br /> pensioning of employees.

<br /> Gentlemen:-- Your Fin~oe Committee begs to report that they had a
<br />
<br />conference with the Officials of the Seaboard Air Line Ry. and Portsmouth Gas Co. in reg~d
<br />
<br />to the corporate assessment of their properties for the Year 1~21, and in both cases they
<br />
<br />have reached ~n agreement on the s~nount of assessment.
<br />
<br /> ~s, therefore, recommend that the City Council agree to an assessment of the S. A. L.
<br />
<br />Property in Portsmouth of $2,~63,$~5oO0, the assessment for 19~O on this propermy was
<br />
<br />$.~,699,~75.00.
<br /> And the assessment of the proper~y of the Portsmouth Gas Co. of $329,600.00 for 1921;
