077 1995 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, April 10, 1995, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, *Cameron C. Pitts, *P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, George M. Willson, Acting City Attorney. 95-163 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 1995, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 95-164 The following item was discussed in the Public Work Session: 1. Operating Budget Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of appointment of Boards and Commissions by the City Council, as permitted under Subsection (A)(1); (2) Discussion of the use of publicly held real property in the Churchland portion of the City, as permitted under Subsection (A) (3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
